“APC Is Now the New Political Language of Southern Kaduna” — A Divine Turnaround in Moroa

By VMB

They called it a mere installation ceremony, but history will remember it as the moment the political sun rose over Southern Kaduna. From the sacred hills of Moroa in Kaura LGA, a new political sound echoed through the valleys—the name was APC. Yes, All Progressives Congress is no longer a strange chant in these parts; it has become the language of gratitude, the dialect of hope, and the rhythm of identity.

For years, Southern Kaduna had wandered the wilderness of political confusion, lost in the thick fog of recycled promises. But just like the story of Pharaoh in the book of Genesis—a good Pharaoh who remembered Joseph and preserved a nation—Nigeria too has found its “Good Pharaohs”: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani. And yes, the people of Southern Kaduna say with joy: This Pharaoh is different. This one listens. This one blesses!

What else do you call it when the Chief of Defence Staff, a son of the soil, General Christopher Musa Gwabin, works around the clock, tirelessly ensuring security across the nation, bringing peace to his own homeland and honour to his people? What else do you call it when the lion of the North-West, the only landlord of Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, the governor with uncommon political sense, His Excellency Uba Sani, receives thunderous chants from the people—young and old—as he enters Moroa?

The chants were unmistakable:

“Tinubu is a blessing! Uba Sani is our own!”
“APC has come to stay in Southern Kaduna!”

This was more than a royal ceremony. It was a political rebirth. The Presentation of the Staff of Office to the First-Class Asholio Monarch was only the backdrop to something greater: a people awakening. A people aligning. A people repositioning.

We therefore extend our warmest congratulations to His Royal Highness Mr. Ishaku Tagwai Sambo, the newly installed Asholio monarch. May his reign be long, prosperous, and peaceful. May his wisdom guide the people toward unity and development. May his leadership attract growth, stability, and honour not just for the Asholio Kingdom, but for the entire Southern Kaduna region.

And now, all eyes turn to August 2nd, 2025.

On that historic day, the entire landscape of Southern Kaduna—home and diaspora—will converge for one purpose: to say boldly and loudly “Thank You Mr President! Thank You Governor Uba Sani!” It will not just be a mega rally. It will be a political pilgrimage. There will be:

Cultural pageantry and ancestral dances.

Youth match passes and unity declarations.

Speeches soaked in gratitude.

Drums of identity echoing through Kaura, Zangon Kataf, Jaba, Kauru, Sanga, and beyond.

The people are ready. The movement is rising. From the hills of Moroa to the grasslands of Kachia and Kagarko, APC is no longer a borrowed political suit. It has become a native attire—tailor-made, deeply rooted, and boldly worn.

This is not a campaign. This is a covenant.

Southern Kaduna is no longer a forgotten political orphan. Under the leadership of President Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani, and General Christopher Musa, we have found protection, inclusion, and prosperity.

A new era has been born.
A new language has emerged.
And that language is: APC.

Democracy Day: Victor Mathew Bobai Hails Tinubu, Uba Sani as Champions of Democratic Governance

Published by Moonlight Media Arewa, Nigeria
June 12, 2025 – Kaduna

As Nigerians across the nation mark Democracy Day, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State and National Coordinator of the Tinubu-Uba Leadership Network (TULN), Hon. Victor Mathew Bobai, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani for what he described as their tireless commitment to deepening democratic values and delivering people-focused governance.

In a press statement issued in Kaduna on Thursday, Bobai described both leaders as “true democrats” whose political journeys are marked by sacrifice, vision, and a deep sense of duty to the Nigerian people.

“President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani are not just administrators; they are democratic warriors who have consistently placed the interest of the people above personal ambition,” he said. “They are humble, pragmatic, and purpose-driven leaders who understand that democracy is not about promises — it’s about performance.”

Bobai, who is also the convener of TULN, a grassroots-driven political mobilization network aimed at advancing the legacies of the Tinubu-Uba alliance ahead of the 2027 elections, said that Nigeria’s current democratic landscape has been enriched by the leadership energy and reformist mindset of the two leaders.

“As our nation reflects on over two decades of democratic rule, what citizens want today are solutions, not slogans. They want leaders who show up, take bold decisions, and unite rather than divide. That’s what Tinubu and Uba Sani represent,” Bobai added.

Describing President Tinubu as “a revered visionary and unrelenting optimist,” Bobai said the president’s voice continues to echo across generations as a beacon of national renewal, political courage, and economic restructuring.

“His journey from the trenches of political opposition to the highest office in the land is a testament to what conviction, resilience, and democratic faith can achieve,” he said.

Turning to Kaduna State, Bobai praised Governor Uba Sani’s leadership as bold and reform-oriented, emphasizing his focus on infrastructural modernization, youth empowerment, and security-driven development.

“Governor Uba Sani is redefining governance in northern Nigeria. His transformation agenda has turned Kaduna into a model of inclusive growth, smart urban planning, and transparent public service,” he noted.

Bobai concluded with a rallying call to citizens and political actors to defend Nigeria’s democracy and work collectively to build on the progress made.

“Today, we honor not just our democracy, but those who are making it work. The Tinubu-Uba partnership is not about politics; it’s about purpose. And through TULN, we are taking this message to every community, every youth, every voter — because 2027 is not just another election; it is a continuation of a democratic vision that works,” he declared.

EX-COUNCILORS HAIL NUHU RIBADU FOR CHECKMATING INSECURITY IN NIGERIA

As the Nation celebrates the 2025 edition of the annual Democracy Day anniversary, Former Councilors in Nigeria Operating under the aegis of National Forum of Ex-councilors has applauded the achievements of the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu in taming insecurity across the six geo-graphical zones of Nigeria.

The Ex-councilors spoke through their·National President Hon.Amb.Auwal Kasim Hassan who addressed a press conference in Kaduna on Thursday,June 12,2025 to commemorate the June 12 Democracy Day celebrations.

The grassroot politician who was accompanied by top officials of the association enumerated the achievements recorded by Mallam Nuhu Ribadu as follows:-

He said when Nuhu Ribadu assumed office as Nigeria’s National Security Adviser on June 26,2023,he inherited a nation besieged by multifaceted security

threats:terrorism in the   Northeast, rampant banditry in the Northwest, separatist violence in the Southeast, and a kidnapping economy flourishing nationwide.

Against this backdrop,Ribadu a former police officer and pioneer chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)brought a paradigm shift to Nigeria’s security architecture. His doctrine, articulated early in his tenure, rejected orthodox solutions in favor of a tripartite strategy merging

military precision, political dialogue, and socio-economic initiatives. With an emphasis on interagency coordination,intelligence-driven operations, and regional partnerships, Ribadu’s first two years have redefined leadership at the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).

He added that Mallam Nuhu Ribadu also ensured the implementation of the

following:

1.   Curbing Oil Theft &Economic Sabotage

·Achievement:Coordinated aggressive operations against illegal refining

sites and pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta.

Impact: Nigeria’s oil production rose from 1.1 million barrels/day (mid-2023)to 1.6 million barrels/day(Q12024)boosting revenue by N1.3 trillion monthly (NNPC data).

·Over 5,000 illegal refineries dismantled;1,800 suspects arrested.

·Restored investor confidence in the energy sector.

2.  Degrading Terrorism &Banditry

·Achievement:Revamped inter-agency coordination(military,police,

DSS)and intelligence sharing.

Impact:Bandit/kidnapping incidents fell by 40%in Northwest Nigeria(Q42023-

Q12024).

·Key terrorist leaders neutralized e.g.,Boko Haram’s Abu Illiya and many

others.

·Over 2,000 hostages rescued since 2023.

3.  Tech-Driven Security Modernization

·Achievement:Launched the National Security Data Fusion Centre

(December 2023).

Impact:

·Real-time threat analysis via AI and satellite monitoring.

·Faster response times to kidnappings e.g.,Kaduna school abduction

resolved in 48 hours.

4.  Regional Security Diplomacy

·Achievement:Strengthened partnerships with Niger,Chad,and Cameroon

for cross-border operations.

Impact:

·Reduced terrorist/bandit migration across borders.

·Joint operations neutralized 300+insurgents (Lake Chad Basin).

5. Addressing Farmer-Herder Conflicts

·Achievement: Mediation and rapid-response deployments in hotspots like

Plateau, Benue, etc.

Impact:

·60%reduction in fatal clashes in 2024 vs.2023(SBM Intelligence).

● Enhanced community-policing frameworks.

Similarly,he disclosed that the National Security Adviser milestones as National

Security Adviser(2023-Present) underscores that effective security leadership

hinges on strategic coordination,unflinching political backing,and silent,result-

oriented action. His decimation of terror kingpins from Boderi to Kachalla

Damina has disrupted criminal ecosystems that once operated with impunity. His revitalization of ONSA’s specialized centers (NCTC,NCCC)has

institutionalized resilience against emerging threats.Yet,Ribadu’s legacy

extends beyond statistics:it lies in rebuilding trust between security agencies, across borders, and among citizens.Challenges persist,as noted in isolated clashes in Plateau or the 2024 resurgence of Lakurawa terrorists.

However, Ribadu’s insistence that ‘security is the foundation of national development’has set Nigeria on a trajectory where stability is increasingly conceivable. As he declared in his 2025 New Year address, the path forward demands ‘vigilance, collaboration, and unwavering unity’.With continued presidential support and public solidarity, the groundwork laid under Ribadu offers a template for a safer,

more sovereign Nigeria.

Concluding,Hon.Amb.Auwal Hassan Kasim affirmed the solidarity of National

Forum of Ex-councilors with Mallam Nuhu Ribadu vision for a safer, prosperous Nigeria.

Border Fencing Proposal: Groups Back CDS Plan To Tackle Insecurity

Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa

Civil society groups, media practitioners declare support for Nigeria’s border fencing proposal
Several civil society organizations and media practitioners across Northern Nigeria have declared support for the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa’s proposal to fence Nigeria’s borders as part of a broader strategy to tackle rising insecurity.

In a joint press statement released on Saturday, the coalition expressed full backing for Gen. Musa’s initiative, which includes stronger border management and citizen collaboration with the military. The statement was jointly signed by Comrade Musa Mohammed, Chairman of the Northern Coalition of Socio-Political Groups; Comrade Femi Adi, Secretary of Northern Online Media Reporters and Publishers; and Alhaji Balarabe Lawal, Secretary of Arewa Media Practitioners.

The groups praised Gen. Musa’s proactive approach in seeking partnerships and public engagement to combat insecurity, describing his border fencing proposal as “timely and necessary.”

“As civil society groups, we fully support Gen. Musa’s initiatives. We recognize the importance of addressing the root causes of insecurity and strengthening our national security infrastructure,” the statement read.

The proposed fencing, according to the CDS, would cover Nigeria’s borders with its four neighboring countries—Niger, Cameroon, Benin, and Chad—aimed at curbing the influx of armed groups and foreign fighters that have exacerbated insecurity, especially in the Northeast.

The groups also emphasized the challenges Nigeria’s military faces, particularly from the 16-year insurgency waged by Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).

“Our security forces and civilians have suffered countless attacks. Tens of thousands have been killed or displaced. Nigeria’s military is overstretched and needs collective national support,” the statement continued.

They urged Nigerians to demonstrate patriotism by supporting the military and refraining from spreading misinformation that could undermine security efforts.

“There is a need for all Nigerians to be patriotic, support the Armed Forces, and actively participate in the fight against insecurity. Let’s rally behind the CDS proposal now.”

The coalition also appealed to the Federal Government, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the National Assembly to consider and endorse the CDS’s proposal as a matter of national priority.

Recall that Gen. Musa had earlier made the proposal public during a security conference held in Abuja, where he cited international examples such as Pakistan’s 1,350 km fence with Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia’s 1,400 km barrier with Iraq as successful models of border security.

“Other countries have fenced their borders due to insecurity. Nigeria must do the same. Border management is critical,” Gen. Musa stated. “It is critical for our survival and sovereignty.”

Nigeria’s longest border, spanning 1,975 km, lies with Cameroon—one of the main regions affected by Boko Haram operations. The country also shares borders of 1,500 km with Niger Republic and 85 km with Chad—countries battling their own insurgencies in the Sahel.

The CDS warned that Nigeria’s relative wealth and strategic position make it a prime target for infiltration by foreign militant groups.

“Nigeria is the main target. That is why we need to take full control of our borders,” Gen. Musa asserted.

Mokwa Floods: Senator Shehu Sani Donates to Victims

Former lawmaker and human rights activist, Senator Shehu Sani, has called on Nigerians to show empathy and compassion toward the orphans, widows, and widowers affected by the devastating floods in Mokwa, Niger State.

Senator Sani, who personally donated food items to the victims and their families, described the Mokwa flood as not just a disaster, but a national tragedy.

In a statement he personally signed, Senator Sani said, “The Mokwa tragedy is a dark cloud of responsibility hanging over the sky of our country.” He emphasized the need for the nation to learn from the incident by channeling its resources toward improving the lives of its people.

The former senator also urged the Federal Government to create a special budget aimed at rebuilding Mokwa into a modern town, as a tribute to the memory of those who lost their lives in the flood.

Tinubu-Uba Leadership Network (TULN), Kaduna State Chapter

TULN Salutes Chief of Defence Staff, General CG Musa, as a Leadership Model for Nigeria’s Political Class
The Tinubu-Uba Leadership Network (TULN), a forward-thinking political and civic platform based in Kaduna State, has issued a strong commendation of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, describing him as “a role model for Nigeria’s political class” and “the embodiment of the leadership values Nigeria urgently needs.”

In a statement signed by the TULN Team lead by the Deputy State Chairman Hon Husseini Modibo, Madam Rebekah Shehu , Deputy State Coordinator, Hon Gonoh Sabastine , Director of Youth Mobilization and Alhaji Sirajo Lere, the group hailed the humility, patriotism, and quiet dignity that have defined General Musa’s service to the nation, particularly in moments that may have otherwise gone unnoticed.

“In an era where too many see leadership as a pedestal of privilege, General CG Musa has chosen to see leadership as a platform for service. His character is not just an inspiration — it is a challenge to our entire political establishment,” the statement reads.

General CG Musa’s Leadership: Humble, Impactful, and Deeply Human
TULN noted several examples of General Musa’s conduct that deeply resonate with the ideals of servant leadership. During the holy month of Ramadan, the Chief of Defence Staff was seen humbly serving meals to junior officers — a rare, unscripted moment of solidarity that broke down the formal walls of hierarchy and built trust among the ranks.

In Kaduna, he personally visited wounded soldiers at the 44 Army Reference Hospital, not for cameras or applause, but to listen, console, and remind injured troops that their sacrifices matter. He didn’t delegate compassion. He delivered it himself.

Similarly, during a visit to frontline troops in Zamfara, General Musa reached into his own earnings to provide cash support to soldiers battling insurgents. It was not a publicity stunt — it was a sincere gesture of gratitude and patriotism.

“This is what true leadership looks like — not loud speeches or self-praise, but quiet acts of compassion that change lives,” TULN emphasized.

Why Nigeria’s Political Class Must Learn from General Musa
According to TULN, these acts of humility and patriotism are desperately lacking in Nigeria’s political environment. Too often, politics is reduced to a game of ego and rivalry, where leaders chase power for personal glory rather than public service.

“Many in the opposition refuse to acknowledge the bold reforms and progress made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration — not because these achievements don’t exist, but because partisanship has overtaken patriotism,” the statement noted.

TULN insists that General CG Musa’s example offers an urgent lesson: leadership should transcend political lines, regional divides, and personal ambitions. It should be about nation-building, empathy, and inclusive progress.

Southern Kaduna: Learn from Your Son, Lead Like Your Son
TULN reminds the people of Southern Kaduna that General CG Musa is not just a national figure — he is one of their own, a son of the soil, and a towering example of what the region can offer Nigeria in terms of integrity, discipline, and responsible leadership.

“If Southern Kaduna seeks political relevance and economic advancement, we must first cultivate the values that General Musa embodies:
– Humility over ego
– Service over showmanship
– Unity over sentiment
– Progress over politics.”

The group warned against the destructive politics of division, where individuals tear each other down for personal gain, leaving the community fragmented and voiceless.

A Call to Conscience: Let’s Do Right by Nigeria
TULN concluded by urging politicians, youth leaders, civil society actors, and religious stakeholders to return to the basics of empathetic, people-centered leadership.

“Southern Kaduna doesn’t need more slogans. Nigeria doesn’t need more finger-pointing. What we need is more integrity, more selflessness, and more leadership like that of General CG Musa.”

The network reaffirmed its commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and called on all Nigerians — regardless of party affiliation — to place the nation’s unity and progress above personal or political gain.

“Because at the end of the day, true leadership isn’t about being right — it’s about doing right. Let’s do right by Southern Kaduna. Let’s do right by Nigeria.”

The Commandant commended the Federal Government for upgrading the academy’s infrastructure and appreciated the Minister’s exemplary leadership.

In response, Minister Abubakar praised the institution’s outstanding performance and reaffirmed the Federal Government’s continued support in achieving the Academy’s strategic objectives. He visited the Hall of Fame, the Centre of Excellence under construction, the Senate Building under construction, the Postgraduate School, and the Centre for Innovation and Creativity.

On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, the Minister is expected to visit Buffalo Engineering Technical Services and the Air Force Institute of Technology, Kaduna. The visit aims to boost military preparedness and assess the institutions’ progress.

You are the architects of Banditry, Hunger, Shehu Sani Blasts Elrufai , Amaechi

Apparently angered by the recent attacks on the President, Former lawmaker , Senator Shehu Sani took a swipe at the former Kaduna and Rivers State governors , Mal Nasir Elrufai, who and Routine Amaechi ,who accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for initiating policies that heightened hunger and poverty across the country.

According to Shehu Sani, Elrufai and Amaechi should hold their heads in shame for failing to tackle same problems or insecurity; poverty and hunger during their days as Governors because they are the architects of banditry and hunger they talked about.

El-Rufai recently declared that Nigerians have allowed bandits to occupy positions of authority, while speaking at a Public Lecture to celebrate former Minister of Transport Rotimi Amechi, said, “What we have done in this country is to allow bandits, not the ones in the bushes, the urban bandits, to take over the governance of our country.”

However ,Shehu Sani who addressed journalists on State of the Nation at his Kaduna residence today, said all those who held public office and positions of authority under the former President Muhammadu Buhari don’t have the moral rights to speak about the issues of banditry, poverty and hunger because they failed to tackle them when in office.

He accused them of witch hunting and working against the Tinubu led government because they either failed to secure ministerial positions or appointed in the cabinet.

Speaking further he said ,”There is nothing wrong in criticizing a government or leader, but when it is done out of selfish interests rather genuine course it becomes a problem.

The Senator, who represented Kaduna Central zone at the 8th Senate, Shehu Sani, lambasted Elrufai and other leaders who controlled the affairs of the country, but failed to turn the Northern region into a socio-economic paradise over the years.

“Nigeria is not just a country; it is a country that came from horrible and terrible experiences as a nation. And we ought to learn from our past experiences in order not to repeat the same experience. So I want to call on the people to caution the elements who had the opportunity to turn the North into a paradise but left it as a hell; today, such elements are crying foul for no reason other than that they have been excluded from government.

“So their grievance is about their own personal interests and not about the people, not about the North, not about the masses, not about insecurity and governance. However, everybody has the right to voice their opinions, but it shouldn’t be done in such a way as to burn down the country.

“Under the last administration, all the security apparatus were of Northern extraction; they never stopped terrorism in the North, they never stopped banditry in the Northwest, they never stopped killings in Benue State, in Plateau, and most parts of North Central states.

“The insecurity in the North is not yet over. Bandits are still killing people; they are kidnapping people in Katsina State, they are still doing that in Zamfara State. There are major killings on the roads by bandits. But if we are going to compare it to where we are coming from, I think things are better. The Chief of Defence has relatively been able to bring peace to the southern part of Kaduna, which was neglected and abandoned when Governor Nasir El-Rufai was in power. We know the Birnin Gwari road; it used to be a road that was inaccessible because of banditry.

“Banditry happened every hour, not every day, for eight years along the Birnin Gwari road. Now people can travel day and night. When last did you hear of an attack since the attack on Kuriga school? When last did you hear of an attack on any school in the state? So for those of us, when you compare the government headed by someone who came from our own part of the country and the government headed by someone who is not from our own part of the country, I think it is important for those of us from the North to appreciate the relative progress they have made.

” We have seen many things that were brought in, and we only demand more. But my message is also to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that more should be done in terms of addressing challenges in the Northern part of Nigeria, and critics should be listened to, and where there are lies, they should be responded to. And this country will be great if there is development in all parts of Nigeria,” Shehu Sani said.
