You’re Disrespectful, Kaduna Activist Blasts Russian Flag Waver Over Attack On Gen. Christopher Musa

A Kaduna-based politician and activist, Comrade Musa Mohammed, has condemned what he described as “disrespectful and mannerless” outbursts of a man who claimed to be amongst those wavering Russian Flag, who attacked General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence staff.

According to the activist, the man whose video trending on social media castigating the CDS, calling him a loyal dog of the jews in reaction to the #END BAD GOVERNANCE PROTEST in Nigeria,  was not only an act of myopic incense, but also evidence of a “badly trained child”.

Comrade Mohammed, who stated this in his reaction to the viral video of the Russian Flag Waver, said there was nothing wrong with CDS recent statements the end bad governance protest

“His vituperations are unguarded, stupid and unacceptable.

“Was it wrong for General Christopher Musa to address Nigerian citizens on the current situation as Chief of Defence staff ?

“For us, as citizens and patriot of the nation, we can’t accept and allow such things to continue happening, where by people who are traitors with treacherous characters to accused the CDS who has national and international recognition and allow them to continue.

“And for that idiot, an ill-trained son of his farther to attack the Nigeria Chief of Defence staff is unacceptable in all sense of decorum.

“The traitor should close his mouth. If

he knows that what he did is a treasonous offense and a very serious crime he wouldn’t open his mouth.

“That idiot and traitor should be quickly and immediately arrested, if allow would fuel impunity.

“Once there is a threat to national security, human rights of any individual can be suspended until such threat is taken care of.

“Once security of the nation is in jeopardy, the individual right may not even exist”.

“If people (the traitors) would  be convicted of treason and imprisoned for life, Nigeria would be considerably safer.

“Most of us have not the slightest doubt that treason is and should be a very serious crime. We need to reconsider whether the current laws against terrorism and disclosure of official secrets are adequate to cover what might be or, arguably, should be treated as treason.

“The preparation or use of violence by a Nigerian citizen against our own people is such a serious threat. It undermine by our common defence and political order and ought to be punished severely.  Betrayal is a breach of the duty each of us owes to our fellow citizens.

“Therefore, allowing this idiot and traitor to go free, after mocking the CDS, will be tantamount to rewarding criminality, he should be made to face the law.

Shehu Sani Calls for Discontinuation of Nationwide Protest to save lives, properties

Kaduna State Senator who represented the Central Senatorial District in the 8th Assembly, Comrade Shehu Sani has urged protesters to discontinue the nationwide protest to save lives and properties of citizens.

Reacting to what he described as unfortunate development , Senator Sani, in a tweet on X said the situation where hoodlums have hijacked the protest is unacceptable.

While expressing disappointment over the manner hoodlums hijacked the protest and destroyed properties of innocent citizens in Kaduna; Kano and other parts of the country on day-one of the protest, he advised those willing to encourage continuation of the protest, especially in the north to reconsider their stands based on potential danger ahead.

He tweeted:”With scores dead, hundreds injured and properties worth billions of Naira belonging to private businesses and Government destroyed by hoodlums, mostly in Northern states, those wishing to encourage the continuation of this protest, especially in the North should reconsider. At our end its violent protest without visible leadership and must be discontinued.”

Forum of Ex Councillors Mobilises Against Planned Protest

The National Forum Of Ex-Councilors Of Nigeria has resolved to mobilize against the propose national protest by some disgruntle people scheduled August 1, 2024 across the country.

The forum at a press conference in Kaduna through its national president Hon. Ambassador Awal Hassan Kasim observed with dismay and reservations that majority of those behind the national protest are enemies of democracy, who are being sponsored by those against fuel subsidy removal, promoters of insecurity in the country and anti-local government autonomy elements as well as losers in the last 2023 general elections.

He bemoaned unregulated national protests and likened as ill-winds that does not blow any good to any body
Ambassador Awal Hassan Kasim who described the forum as the umbrella body of all elected former councilors commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for restoring local government autonomy to Nigeria.

He lauded the government for providing 150 day Tax free initiative for the importation of husked rice, beans, corn, wheat and millet in to Nigeria .

He opined that the gesture will drastically reduce the prices of food items across the country and reduce the numerous cases of insecurity in Nigeria because a hungry man is an angry man
Ambassador Awal Hassan Kasim implored all state governors to emulate the federal government and import their own quantum of basic food items like rice, bean, wheat, millet and flour into the country so as to enhance food availability in abundance.

On their methodology of truncating the nationwide protest, he said the forum as the touch bearers of grass root politics will engage critical stake holders and civil society organizations to prevent the protest and also engage the government on the need to embrace national dialogue by way of town hall meetings to for stall future agitations for distractive national .

Nationwide Protest: Kaduna Non-Indegenes Withdraw, Say It’s Ploy to Loot their Shops, Market

Ahead of the planned nationwide protest against soaring cost of living and economic hardship in the country, Kaduna State Non Indegenes Forum(KSNIF) has raised alarm over possibility of hoodlums hiding under the protest to loot their shops;market and business premises across the State.

The non indegenes, especially the Igbo traders announced the decision not join the protest, because of past experiences, which have shown that once there is any protest action or crisis situation in Kaduna, the target is always their market stalls and business areas with extensive looting of food items; electronics and valuables .

The Kaduna Non-Indegenes Forum in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman ,Chief Emeke Emmanuel Okafor and Secretary,Mr Adewale Peter Adelanwa urged the citizens to shun the directive to embark on the planned protest, considering that fact the Police Command in State did recently banned all forms of unlawful protests. Stressing, ” It is our hope that citizens in the State will remain law abiding in this regard.”

The Statement further reads: We are therefore calling on the security agencies to tighten security within offices and business premises to avoid looting and breakdown of law and order should the citizens decide to embark on the protest.

“Kaduna is volatile State and has tasted its bit of bitter crises with the Igbos most hit and suffering huge loss of lives and property over the years. This time, we can’t afford to lose anyone and valuables to avoidable situations.

“It is our desire that considering the past crisis experiences and hundred percent chances of hoodlums hijacking the peaceful process, we strongly advise against any form of protest in Kaduna for now .

“We want to categorically state that we are part of people facing the economic hardship, but we cannot afford to lose our hard earned investments and properties at this critical period, when Nigerians currently are battling one of the country’s worst inflation and economic crisis sparked by the government’s twin policies of petrol subsidy removal and unification of forex windows.

“There was a report where the United Nations (UN) department of safety and security warned that the planned protests in Nigeria may be hijacked by groups with ulterior motives, hence our decision to appeal to citizens against joining the protest action.

“There is no how the “10 days of rage,” starting from August I to 10 will address the country’s soaring cost of living and economic hardship, instead it will cause more hardship.”

While reiterating concerns about the possibility of violence, citing past instances where similar protests in the State had degenerated into escalated crisis, he called on state government to deploy security operatives to red zones or identified flash points should the protest take place .

Attack on Tinubu: NDUME’s 20 years in Senate has not helped Borno, North- North-East Group

The Coalition of North-East Elders Forum (CNEF) said the Senator representing Borno South Senatorial District and the Chief Whip of the 10th Senate, Senator Ali Ndume’s twenty years in the National Assembly has neither helped Borno State nor the northern region that has been bedevilled with incessant attacks by insurgents and bandits.

The group, which took a swipe at the lawmaker, over his recent outburst about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ‘s administration, asked why a lawmaker who has not been able to use his position as ranking officer in the Senate to tackle the security challenges in his state and region have the moral right to question the leadership prowess of the President.

Senator Ndume did attack the administration of President Bola Tinubu, saying it’s run by kakistocrats—those deemed the least qualified and most unscrupulous citizens—and kleptocrats, who are merely in power to steal.

But in a reaction to the outburst, the group in a Press Statement signed by the Coordinator, Alhaji Ali Ibrahim Sheriff , said it is overtly shocking that Senator Ali Ndume who has been in various committees in the Senate over the past two decades and from a State worst in terms of insecurity could be so insensitive and trivial to personalize issues of governance.

The statement further reads: “During the days of President Buhari, why did he choose to be silent in the midst of heightened problems of insecurity; pervasive hunger, looting of public funds and bad Governance?

“He must account for total sum of money recieved for Constituency projects and intervention funds allocated for members of his Constituency over the twenty years period in the National Assembly.

” If leadership is as easy as that ,we make bold to ask, all these years, how many Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) has he trained; educated and empowered with funds allocated to him?

“Ndume is nothing but a liability and economic burden to the good people of Borno State and entire country.”

The group which called on northerners to shun what it termed , “Ndume divisive vituperations” ,vowed to mobilise citizens of his Constituency in Borno State to stop his re-election bid in 2027.
