‘That’s why political veterans have also queued behind Bello El-Rufai’
The greatest opposition against Bello’s aspirations has been hinged on the fact that he’s the son of the governor of Kaduna state, with the few dissenting voices alleging gerontocracy.
It is either these people are simply being mischievous or they may be completely ignorant or too old to appreciate the fact that even the greatest bastion of democracy – America has elected the son of a former president as president. The Bush family of America readily comes to mind.
Whereas you can’t deny that the family name may have some influence in the entire decision of the son to even join politics, because after all, most sons of responsible fathers want to emulate them, I believe our focus should be on querying the young man’s aspirations by asking the most consequential questions: Is he educated enough for the position? Has he demonstrated requisite leadership competence to qualify for the position? What’s the focus of his aspirations and why is it different from what we have on ground now? etc…
To answer the questions above conveniently, it is pertinent to present BELLO EL-RUFAI’s journey of education, leadership and vision. Bello attended Essence nursery and primary school Kaduna. He proceeded to the Nigerian Turkish International School where he completed his Junior secondary education. He completed his senior secondary education at the British school in Lome, Togo. From 2007-2011, he attended Wheaton college Massachusetts USA where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in political science and International Relations.
Bello El-rufai earned a master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate communications from Georgetown University in 2013.
He worked as a manager for Huawei in Nigeria before becoming a senior legislative aide to Senator Uba Sani in 2019.
It was not surprising therefore that many queued behind him in a clear show of belief and trust. It took a high level political scheming and approbation for him to be put down, but certainly not out.
But supposing we want to even align his father’s influence with his aspirations, is it wrong for the son of someone such as Malam Nasiru El-Rufai for whom the people of Kaduna state still have nothing but love for the unmatched strides he made as two termgovernor of the state between 2015 to date to cash in on? The apple does not fall far from the tree. Therefore, if the people have seen in Bello El-Rufai a higher version of his father in modern approaches to governance as a result of his education and other engagements, shouldn’t they grab a hold of it?
Many of the people crying wolf and attributing his entire aspirations to the influence of his father would have loved to have such wind of love riding in their backs. This is because people always despise what they can’t have. In any case, if his father were to be a bad man who is despised, no one will be talking influence now, they’ll instead be talking about his father’s evil antecedents. It with respect to this that I reckon it is way better to be talking positive influence rather than it’s negative counterpart.
For the latter groups, it is perhaps understandable considering Bello El-Rufai is answering the call to represent their constituency as is becoming a global norm. Notwithstanding, this however, Bello has shown himself as someone who has learnt the art of cross-demographic communication and relations which is why political veterans have also queued behind him.
I urge our people of Kaduna North Constituency to discountenance the whining of naysayers. No one can kill idea whose time has come. MUHAMMAD BELLO EL-RUFAI has presented himself for service on the strength of his personality, education, experience, network and beliefs and no one can trivialize this using old and obsolete political talk.
The politicians and the politics in Kaduna is so cutthroat that it’s greatest elixir is sentiments encased in bile, envy and mostly lamentations. It is this type of useless emotions that have trailed us we the Stakeholders inspired decision of Hon. Bello El-Rufai to contest the house of representative seat to represent us at the (green Chambers) national assembly.
We will continue to support Bello El-Rufai because he have passion for helping the less privileged. He joined Politics in other to make an impact and tried to better the lot of his people.
He is not just going to serve in order to answer a name but to deliver the good and satisfy the people he is representating.
Bello is a person that believe in self-sustenance. He will definitely provide qualitative representation if elected.
In my own humble opinion, due to the terrible state of things, a person with the political experience of the Senator seat is the most suitable to take over the seat from Nasiru El-Rufai.
This is very necessary because he have experience
After painstakingly x-raying and analysing those who have openly made, I have noticed one that perfectly suits the attributes that I highlighted in paragraph six.
Without any form of bias, any form of ethnic sentiment and without any form of religious sentiment, it is my humble and personal opinion, I want to submit that the governatorial candidate of APC in Kaduna state who is currently a senator of the federal republic, Senator Uba Sani, meets up with all the standards of the new governor kaduna need at this crucial moment.
Uba Sani is not an amateur in the political terrain. Even before getting into public office, his popularity among his people was fantastic and enormous. That was why he overwhelmingly defeated an incumbent Senator, Shehu Sani, during the election for the senatorial seat in 2019 on the platform of All Progressive Congress.
We can now all see that anybody taking over from Elrufai is taking over a very enormous task, perhaps, the most enormous task. So, kaduna state needs someone who has the ability to think ruggedly outside the box. We need someone like Uba Sani whose track records of practical experience cannot be disputed due to how glaring it is.
As the serving Senator representing kaduna Central senatorial district, he displayed astute legislatative skills.
In his relentless efforts to ensure the transformation of the economy of Nigeria as a Senator of the Federal Republic, Uba Sani sponsored over one hundred Bills in the senate. This is a gigantic move that has received wide commendations from a cross section of Nigerians.
Uba Sani is known to be a welfarist who believes that those who are well to do should cater for the poor and the underprivileged in the society. His welfarism pinpoints to the fact that throughout his reign as the Senator, and this testifies to the fact that through his political will and result-oriented approach, he would tackle the issue of insecurity appropriately and make the state a safe haven for investors; which we needs seriously at this moment. He is a fearless leader who always leads by example.
His varied experience in private and public life has imbued him before with requisite insights, experiences and network of relationships adequate to provide a leadership that will galvanize our dear state to achieve her manifest destiny.
His words above are a testament to how he can turn around the kaduna positively if elected as the governor.
My submission is to the electorate to give him the opportunity to prove his worth like he had done in the Senate.
…. Report fingers top CBN and First Bank officials….Court adjourns case till 6th of March 2023….Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice grows cold feet The suit seeking the Recovery and Forfeiture of over N70 trillion in looted funds in the hands of a few Nigerians has been adjourned until March 6, 2023 by Honourable Justice Peter Odo Lifu of Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos. The Honourable Justice presided over the case with the case number Fhc/L/Cs/968/2021 on March 7 and adjourned it to March 31 for a decision before the final adjournment until March 2023. The money said to be stashed away in 29 bank accounts mainly in First banks is enough to fund Nigeria’s budget for three years with some change to keep. The proposed budget for 2023 is N20.5 trillion, meaning that the N70 trillion hidden by some Nigerians could effectively finance the national budget for three years. The efforts of private investigator Muhammad T. Ismail and his team to recover the N70 trillion through the office of Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) have hit a brick wall because some powerful vested interests have intervened to thwart the case. The investigator bemoaned the fact that certain vested interests in the Presidency, Central Bank Nigeria, and First Bank were thwarting all efforts to recover the alleged loot. Below is the full deposition made by the investigator as published by PointBankNews BRIEF ON THE RECOVERY AND FORFEITUURE OF OVER N70 TRILLION NAIRA OF LOOTED FUNDS IN THE HANDS OF FEW NIGERIANS IN SUIT NO: FHC/L/CS/968/2021. Muhammad T. Ismail (a private investigator) and his team were able to identify fraudulent bank accounts where trillions of illicit funds belonging to the Federal Government of Nigeria were domiciled. Mohammad T. Ismail needed a legal instrument to recover these illicit funds to the Federal Government of Nigeria. Muhammad T. Ismail therefore approached Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) and instructed him to write and request for a letter of mandate/instruction from the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice, and also from the Minister of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on his behalf, for the recovery of the illicit funds hidden in some secret bank accounts in Nigeria. These funds belong to the Federal Government of Nigeria. This letter from Muhammad T. Ismail was received and acknowledged on the 6th of January 2021 by the Head of Department of Civil Litigation in the Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers), Barr. Saidu Alfa Bala. Muhammad T. Ismail also swore to an Affidavits on the same date of 6th of January 2021 in support of the instruction given to Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers). As instructed and being convinced of the facts available, Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) wrote to the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, the Minister of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning and also to the Accountant General of the Federation. Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) requested for a mandate and instruction to recover Federal Government looted and hidden funds on behalf of his client who is Muhammad T. Ismail. (Copies of all these letters and correspondences will be made available to you on request). The Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice responded on the 14th of January 2021 by way of inviting Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) for a meeting scheduled for the 19th of January 2021 to discuss details and procedures for the recovery with the Asset Recovery Unit in the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice. Twenty Nine (29) bank accounts where a combined sum of over seventy trillion naira (N70 Trillion) belonging to the Federal Government was hidden were identified. On the 21st of June 2021, The Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice approved and issued the letter of instruction to recover illicit funds traced to specified accounts of individuals to Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers). The letter of instruction also listed the twenty nine (29) bank accounts. The twenty nine (29) bank accounts are in seventeen (17) banks in Nigeria. As expected, Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) ran to the Federal High Court 9, Ikoyi Lagos where most of the Bank Head Quarters are domiciled. The case was between (1) The Federal Republic of Nigeria (2). The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice as Claimants/Applicants against the seventeen banks as Defendants. On the 9th of August, 2021, Hon. Justice T. G. Ringim gave several orders including an Interim Order of Forfeiture. All the Banks were served accordingly. The Banks were also to provide Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) all documents and information relating to the listed accounts. Shockingly, the Banks could not provide information regarding the ownership of twenty six (27) out of the twenty nine (29) accounts. That automatically meant that all the funds in the twenty seven (27) accounts should be forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria even as no one has come to claim ownership of the accounts. But this has not happened till date. The hands of the courts have been tired down. Three (3) accounts stand out. The affected banks were able to provide documents relating to the three (3) accounts;
First Bank Plc.Account Name: NNPC/ NAOC IPP SECURITYAccount No: 2006367288Account Bal. N147B NairaCurrency Type: Naira First Bank Plc.Account Name: NNPC/NAOC IPP SECURITYAccount No: 2005942905Account Bal. $299,613. 72 USDCurrency Type: DOLLAR USD. This is the interesting part; Zenith Bank Plc., suddenly woke up from sleep and said that the N32B in Account No. 1012280444 with Account Name NNPC (REM ACC/PRIVATE) has been swept into NNPC Remittance Account (Coastal PRD Sales) Account No. 1010654418 from where it was eventually transferred to CBN/TSA Account No. 3000004989 with the CBN on the 7th of January 2016. This is not true. Recall that the CBN directives for all balances/receipts due to the Federal Government or its Agencies to be paid into the Treasury Single Account (TSA) ended on or before September 15, 2015. Zenith Bank Plc. has not been able to give explanation as to the reason Account Nos. 1012280444 and 1010654418 were still operational after September 15, 2015. Another shocking revelation is that Account No. 1012280444 with Zenith Bank Plc. has five (5) BVNs as follows: 22173355534,22376914983, 22193440291, 22367697055, and 22235680190. Zenith Bank Plc. has not been able to supply statement of accounts for Account Nos 1012280444 and 1010654418from inception to date. They cannot provide photograph pictures of the five (5) BVN owners. Zenith Bank Plc. stated that Account No. 1012280441 (another account being investigated with N32B lodgement) belongs to Mrs Okoro Comfort with cellular number 08130734041. However, Mrs Okoro Comfort, through her counsel denied any knowledge of the said account or any other account with Zenith Bank Plc. Mrs Okoro Comfort admitted that her cellular number is 08130734041 and her BVN is 222417%%%49 different from the BVN 2236767055 attached to the account number 1012280441. BVN 2236767055 belongs to Mr Okam Eze Ezenna who receives transaction alerts from Account No. 1012280441 with two (2) cellular numbers 08139383487 and 08130734041which belongs to Mrs Okoro Comfort. Account Number 1012280441 with Zenith Bank Plc. has Thirty two million naira (N32m) with no identifiable owner coming to claim it. The question in the mouth of every concerned person is, what is holding back the hand of justice to declare total forfeiture of all these stolen funds to the Federal Government of Nigeria. It is expected that Muhammad T. Ismail and Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) should have a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). At the beginning of the assignment, Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) allotted a space to Muhammad T. Ismail and his team in his office to do the leg work and provide the needed information for Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) to do the needful. Surprisingly, Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) has not shown any interest in signing the MoU with his client, Muhammad T. Ismail. On the 7th of September, 2021 Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) wrote to the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice to provide Bank Account details to receive recovered funds to the tune of one hundred and seventy nine billion naira (N179B) and $299,613.72 USD from three (3) out of the twenty nine (29) accounts.. On the 8th of September, 2021 Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) also wrote to the Central Bank of Nigeria, complaining against the uncooperative attitude and disobedience of court orders by First Bank Plc. and Zenith Bank Plc. Proof of service of the court orders was attached to the letters to the CBN. It was after the request for bank details was sent to the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice and a complaint against First Bank Plc. and Zenith Bank Plc. was sent to CBN that trouble started. Some persons who are in position to drive the process for the recovery of the illicit funds became threatened and they had to act fast to stop the process. In their response on the 27th of September 2021, CBN stated that they cannot act because they were not served any court order and that necessary steps should be taken to effect service on the CBN to enable them respond to the request. The Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice, although received the letter of request for account details to receive recovered funds, never responded and the request not met. In March 2022, Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) invited Mohammad T. Ismail and told him that the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice had terminated the recovery exercise but he could not show any document or correspondence from the Attorney-G eneral of the Federation and Minister for Justice to that effect. To make matters worse, Mohammad T. Ismail and his team were stopped from accessing the office and prevented from retrieving details of information in the office. On one hand, Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) claimed that the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice had seized from pursuing the recovery of the trillions of naira for the Federal Government of Nigeria. However, he sent another SAN to represent him in court on the 7thof March 2022 in respect of the same matter that he told Muhammad T. Ismail that the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice had seized to pursue. Hon. Justice P. O. Lifu of FHC, Ikoyi Lagos presided on the 7th of March 2022 and adjourned to the 31st of March 2022 for ruling. Since then, it has been adjournment upon adjournment with the next adjournment scheduled for 6th of March 2023. Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) is now foot-dragging in pursuing the case as it should be. Mohammad T. Ismail is also not enjoying the cooperation of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice as it was in the beginning. The Judge only announces long adjournment to frustrate the case. The Banks too are acting above the law. CBN is not worried that trillions of naira which can service our national debt was being stolen. 26. Several correspondence had been sent to Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) to release copies of all the correspondence relating to the recovery exercise but he hasn’t obliged. He has also refused to sign the MoU with his client, Muhammad T. Ismail who owns the recovery exercise and hired him to work for him. He is no longer showing seriousness in the recovery pursuit. 27. It can only be concluded that some persons are congregating to share over N70 trillion belonging to the Federal Government of Nigeria. We have a responsibility and a sacred duty to let the world know the truth and those who are sabotaging this nation and causing everyone to crawl while they ride on horseback
Kaduna Governorship 2023: I’m obligated to support Senator Uba Sani – Comrade Musa Mohammed
‘Uba Sani’s humble beginning and his accomplishments are inspiring enough’
I’m hundreds percent in support of Senator Uba Sani candidacy for governorship in Kaduna state, after his declaration he alluded to that when he said “the huge challenge before us is to sustain and build on Malam Nasiru El-Rufai’s legacy of outstanding public service and impact”.
He admitted, in his declaration speech, that he had imbibed many principles of effective leadership from Nasiru El-Rufai.
One such concept is that “the leader needs courage to take tough decisions, no matter whose ox is gored, for the greater good of the greatest number of the people.
I want the people of Kaduna state to know that there’s never been a Senator who, as a first-timer possessing no experience and antecedents, performed exceptionally-well in the Federal Parliament as Senator Uba Sani.
Kaduna state was better off in the hand of the APC governor Malam Nasiru El-Rufai, and Uba Sani will definitely move forward from where Malam Nasiru El-Rufai stop.
“I’m obligated to support Senator Uba Sani to the end”
“The APC government in Kaduna State has done very well; it has moved Kaduna forward.
Definitely, we are better off with the APC compared to where the PDP administration left us.
Uba Sani’s name rings a bell across the landscape of Kaduna and Nigeria.
Many Nigerians knows the name Uba Sani through his strings of achievements at senate drawing ceaseless applause for him.
Uba Sani remains a very simple and an unassuming man despite the strategic work he has been doing as a Senator representing kaduna Central senatorial district.
As a senator, Uba Sani understands that very central to the success of his assignment as Chairman of the Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions was the repositioning and strengthening of the banking, insurance and other financial institutions to work for the greater benefit of the people. The consequential laws by Uba Sani confirm his intention to use the instrumentality of the law to effect fundamental reforms that will touch lives.
The All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for the House of Representatives for Kaduna North federal constituency in Kaduna State, Muhammad Bello El-Rufai has said that if elected, he will have more opportunity to empower his people, especially women and youths as well as physically challenged persons in the constituency. “I will empowered people in the area of health, education, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) etc”.
In this interview, he emphasised that if elected he would offer quality services to his people. “Honestly what actually motivates my ambition of going to House of representatives to represent my people is to offer a selfless service to my constituency. And you know we have so many youths who are unemployed, so I will assist youths in my constituency to be self employed and also help the old and Disabled people in my federal constituency so as to reduce the level of unemployment among the youths and suffering among the old and Disabled people. “You see the All Progressive Congress as the ruling party in Kaduna state has done so many things that has touched the lives of people in the state since it came into power seven years under the able leadership of His excellency Malam Nasiru El-Rufai. And also the APC government in Kaduna state have engaged so many youths, women into productive ventures that will help and boost the party chances at poll very positively by the grace of Almighty Allah. “I will make sure i did a lot of things to my Constituency if giving the chance, i will empower so many people including youths and women in different areas of business with some token of money to start their own business and meaningful life to the betterment of our society and the country”. “I will helped students to gain admission in category of education through scholarship”. ” I will engaged myself in different types of humanitarian works to help the society at large” he added.
The All Progressive Congress’ (APC) House of Representatives Candidate for Kaduna North Federal Constituency seat at the National Assembly, Hon. Bello El-Rufai, Will definitely provide qualitative representation if elected. Hon. Bello want to represent generation for change, noting that things could not continue in the same way without meaningful development.
If the people of kaduna north elected Bello El-Rufai for the House of Representatives, his immediate constituents would be his priority by engaging them in dialogue. Bello will employed dialogue to engage the other legislators through lobbying to attract more dividends of democracy to his constituency. I assure the people of Kaduna North, if Bello has the opportunity at his disposal would serve as the best time for him to give back to the people if elected. The man would also give priority to job creation, youth empowerment, road, education and agricultural development if elected. The APC flag bearer would also partner with international, national and local organisations to tap the abundant potentials of the constituency in wealth creation and employment generation.
